Hard Candy Honeymoon Blush - an Honest Review

I will start by saying that this product ended up in my cart from only looking at it once, not even being able to swatch it. It is a baked product in an eye-catching packaging. I am not big into blushes as I only own 3 shades by different brands but when I pick them, I know why!
Colour:
Like eye-candy sheer baby pink with a few subtle fuschia colour lines, great for fair skin.
Texture:
Powdery and very subtle as it needs a few brush strokes in order to be noticed.
Effect:
No need to apply a highlighter or luminizer as this product is light and glowy with shiny particles and appropriate for both natural and dramatic looks.
Problems:
Somehow, the upper lid broke easily without even traveling with it.

Should you buy it?
Yes, if your skin is not darker than olive skin as this colour might not look as radiant
Rating: 4.9/5 awesome looks

Covergirl Exact Eyelights Mascara - an Honest Review

Aaaaand my first product review will start with Covergirl Exact Eyelights Mascara. I used to have the old version a few years ago when it first appeared on shelves in the stores as well as in advertisements on tv and on the internet. Of course, I was very interested in purchasing it because I have green eyes and was curious to see if it will really help my eye colour pop. I bought it then and threw it out and bought it in 2013 again with the new formula and it's going in the garbage as well. Yup, I made the same mistake twice but hey, I though I should give it one more try.

Colour:
The Exact Eyelights mascara is said to have "light-reflecting metallics" with a specific tint to bring out the colours of different eyes such as: greens, blues, hazels and browns.
For the green eyes, the tint is "black ruby" and it looks like a great colour because purples, violets and cranberry colours really complement green.
Brush:
The brush looks pretty good too and it is also tilted so it can help the person apply it with ease.
Problems:
1. I was disappointed and what really made me even more upset with this product was the fact that a lot of these youtube "gurus" were applying the mascara and lying to our faces that it has an effect and that it actually changes the colour when it was clear that it does absolutely nothing on camera or in reality after the purchase. It makes absolutely no difference except it might, maybe, complement your eyecolour seeing how it uses opposite shades for the tints.
2. It is supposed to really make your eyecolour brighter and more vibrant, almost like magic, because this is what was supposed to be the difference between the "Exact Eyelights" mascara and any other coloured mascara. Well, guess what? No difference whatsoever and the tints are not even obvious enough to make a real difference. At least any other coloured mascara has a clear shade and not a combination of black with cranberry or brown with green or who knows what. These combinations really only show up as dark shades of mascara.
3. It's waterproof so for me, it's a bad option because waterproof mascaras are most of the time unnecessary, feel heavy on the lashes and are very difficult to remove, even with a good makeup remover and 5 minutes of rubbing per eye.
4. The effect on my eyes wasn't too good either; other than the fact that it does nothing to my eye colour, I lost lashes trying to get rid of it with cotton pads and makeup remover and while wearing it, my eyes got very watery all the time.

Should you buy it?

Only if you want to waste some money and you like risks.
